Welcome to ItsHannahCallahan | Motherhood, Books, Food, & Everyday Life
Hey friend, I’m Hannah Callahan, and welcome to ItsHannahCallahan! I’m so glad you’re here.
Starting a blog feels a little like inviting people into your home before you’ve fully cleaned it. A little vulnerable, a little messy, maybe there’s some crumbs or dog hair lying around–things aren't perfect but it's kind of exciting. What I’m trying to say is–whether you found your way here from Instagram, Pinterest, a random Google search, or pure internet curiosity…welcome!
I’m a mom in my 30’s to a sweet little boy, and married to my best friend and multi-talented husband, Hunter. Our life is a mix of parenting/motherhood, music, books, food, and the occasional “uh…are we doing this right?” moment. Which, if you’re a parent, you probably understand.

But let’s rewind a bit.
My internet journey started back in 2021, when my son was born. At the time, I was just sharing toddler boy outfits online for fun. Nothing serious–just a new mom posting things she liked in hopes that others looking for inspiration might find it helpful. But somewhere along the way, something really special happened–I found community. Through social media, I’ve met some of the kindest women and mamas, and it reminded me how powerful it can be when people simply share their real lives with each other.
That’s a big part of why this space exists.
Around that same time, my own life started to shift. When my son was a little over one, I realized the traditional 9-to-5 life I was living wasn’t serving me–it wasn’t the kind of life I wanted for our family. (I’ll share more about that in another blog). So in 2023, I left my corporate Marketing job to start my own small digital marketing business so I could be home more with my son.
Cue the sappy motherhood rant.
I wanted more time with him–not just the two hours I was getting after a long workday. I wanted to witness the big milestones, but also the tiny ordinary moments. I wanted the slow mornings, the random weekday adventures…the moments that seem so small but somehow turn into core memories. I wanted to be present as he grows, learns, and works through things like speech delays. It hasn’t always been easy. In fact, staying home with my son is the hardest thing I’ve ever done…but it’s also been incredibly worth it.
You see, my biggest dream in life was always to be a mom…though for a while I wasn’t sure that would actually happen for me (Endometriosis warrior over here—but I’ll share more about that in another post). Motherhood is incredibly rewarding. And for someone who struggled to get here, it feels especially meaningful. But I’ll be the first to tell you that I am humbled often because I have no idea what I’m doing most days. I’m learning as I go, giving myself a lot of grace, and trying my best to raise a kind, strong-hearted little human who loves people well, who loves Jesus, and knows that he is deeply deeply loved.

Another thing you should probably know about me…I’m completely obsessed with books.
Truly–it’s a problem. I almost always have multiple books going at once. I’m a physical-book-in-my-hand type of girl, but I usually have something going on my Kindle and an audiobook playing too. I love stories. I love learning about people’s lives, rediscovering history, and I love disappearing into a completely different world for a while. Books are such a big part of who I am, so you’ll see a lot of that here–recommendations, favorites, and a “bookshelf” on my site where I share all my favorite reads and book club picks. I also keep a running list over on Goodreads, if you're curious about what I'm currently reading.
Music is another big theme running through our life.
My husband, Hunter Callahan, is a singer-songwriter, and occasionally you’ll find me singing alongside him at live shows like Eddie's Attic. It feeds the little girl in me who was absolutely convinced she was going to grow up to be the next Christina Aguilera…ha! Creativity has always been part of our world in one way or another, and I love that our son is growing up surrounded by that.

And lastly…there’s food–a big love language in our house.
We love food! We love to cook, trying new restaurants, new cuisines, and we’re the kind of people who plan parts of trips around what we’re going to eat. Anyone with me? I’m no chef by any means–just someone who loves good food and creating something delicious. So, you’ll find recipes here too! Sometimes a little involved, but mostly simple, family-friendly recipes because that’s the season of life we’re in.
Outside of all of that, I share life pretty casually–book recommendations, favorite products, occasional outfits, home decor, travel things…whatever I’m currently loving. If something shows up here, it’s because I’ve actually used it, tried it, or genuinely love it.
More than anything, my hope for ItsHannahCallahan is that it feels like a warm hug from a friend. A place where you can find something helpful, discover something new, or just feel a little more seen in the midst of your normal, everyday life. Maybe you’ll laugh (though I wouldn’t count on me being very funny). Maybe you’ll find a good book to read. Maybe you’ll try a new recipe or a product you end up loving.
Whatever it is that brings you here…I’m really glad it did.
I hope you stick around 💙
If you're new here, this is just the beginning of ItsHannahCallahan. I’ll be sharing books, recipes, motherhood, and everyday life here on the blog.
